A lone Lake District camper had to call for help in the early hours after his tent was destroyed in high winds.
Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team said they were called yesterday, Saturday November 30, at around 2am.
The man was camping near the summit of Scafell when his tent was destroyed.
The team said: “He was cold, disorientated and needed some guidance to descend to safety.
“The team leader was able to make contact by phone and gave directions to Wasdale. Regular Phonefinds were made to monitor his progress safely down to the valley floor, after which the team leader stood down.”
