Police Scotland Dumfries & Galloway said the man has been charged in connection with a road traffic offence.

Trains between Carlisle and Glasgow are disrupted and ScotRail said it is unable to run trains between Carlisle and Dumfries.

The A74(M) is now also down to one lane and the slip road for junction 22 is closed to allow for the recovery of the lorry.
