Holker Old Boys returned to winning ways with a 4-0 home win over bottom side Skelmersdale in the North West Counties North Division.
But it looked very early on as if the Furness side won run riot as they were 2-0 ahead in the first four minutes.
Tyler Spence bagged the opener on two minutes and Brandon Collins doubled the lead after four – but the expected goal-rush just didn’t follow.
Although dominating the game Holker did not score again until the 63rd minute when Collins grabbed his second and the fourth goal arrived four minutes from time.
The Old Boys had won 9-0 at Skelmersdale earlier in the season and they must have felt as though another goal rush was on its way after that flying start.
They are now up to fourth in the table six points behind leaders Atherton LR from the same number of games.
