Kirkby Lonsdale had a rare win in Regional Two North to give them hope that they can avoid another relegation.
They were 20-0 home winners against Carlisle which was another disappointing result for the visitors who have hit a poor run of results after a bright start to the season.
Kirkby Lonsdale scored three tries, so the four-try bonus point still eluded them.
However the encouraging performance in a 31-15 defeat against Durham City last week continued.
Everyone put in a big shift in defence to keep a clean sheet, and again there were lots of spirit and endeavour to move the ball around.
Right winger Tom Barnes scored two tries, and left winger Charlie Oates went full length after an interception.
Their visit to Keswick on Saturday will be interesting, as they will be seeking revenge after their defeat earlier in the season at Kirkby Lonsdale.
A minute’s silence was held before the game, a tribute to Ben Taylor who lost his life in the fire last weekend, and also for long standing club member, official and supporter Mike Martindale, who died during the week.
