
Four sheep were killed and three were injured by a dog in north Cumbria.
Police are investigating the incident of sheep worrying, which happened in a field off the A6071 towards Longtown, on Monday, December 9 at around 11am.
It is believed all sheep were pregnant ewes.
The dog, described as a German shepherd, was seen attacking sheep. It was by itself.
During the incident, the dog was destroyed by the livestock owner, as is their right under the legislation in the protection of livestock.
