
A mountain biker has died after he was found in a Lake District forest.
Keswick Mountain Rescue Team said they were called to Whinlatter Forest on Monday, December 16 at around 6.20pm.
A mountain biker on the red north trail came across an unresponsive lone male biker.
The passer-by immediately commenced CPR and called the emergency services.
The Keswick team said they arrived and continued attempts at resuscitation.
The team added: “Sadly and despite best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man.
“Our thoughts and sympathies are with the man’s family and friends.”
