A drugs raid in Barrow has resulted in three men appearing in court for a total of 18 charges.

Police carried out the raid on Wednesday and found class A drugs worth around £5,000, cash and drugs paraphernalia.

The raid was executed as part of an investigation into suspected county lines drug dealing in Barrow.

Carl Wilkinson, 44, of Broad Street, Barrow, and Ethan Barber, 21 and Jordan Brownfield, 19, both of Stoke, were charged with:

  • Possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine
  • Being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine
  • Possession of criminal property
  • Possession of an offensive weapon

Detectives secured 18 charges in total against the three men.

All appeared before Barrow Magistrates Court yesterday, Thursday December 19.

Wilkinson was remanded into custody. Barber and Brownfield have been bailed until a further hearing.

Cumbria police said: “Cumbria police take drug supply within our communities extremely seriously and continue to target those who come into our communities to supply class A drugs.

“Drugs and the criminality associated with their supply, can have devastating impacts on local communities.

“We would urge members of the public to come forward with any information so that we can continue to make our communities safer.”
