A Lake District hotel’s Christmas fayre has raised £300 for Windermere Food Bank.
Lindeth Howe held the event on December 8 and guests enjoyed free visits with Santa, perusing a holiday market featuring local crafters, and a surprise visit from the Lake District Falconry’s birds of prey.
The market showcased an array of handmade treasures from vendors such as Firefrost Murano Glass Jewellery, Bear & Bee Jewellery and Cards, and Roesk Candle Company, among others.
A raffle full of prizes, donated by Mountain Goat, Cragwood Hotel, EWGA, McClures, Pennington Coffee Merchants and many other friends of Lindeth Howe, added to the festive excitement, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Windermere Food Bank.
On the day, visitors also donated a large amount of food items collected by the food bank on the same day, and Lindeth donated all remaining Santa gifts.
Volunteers from the Windermere Food Bank also attended the fayre.
Tony Holden, general manager of Lindeth Howe, said: “Christmas is a time for giving and community, and we’re thrilled to see the tremendous support from our guests and vendors this year.
“It’s inspiring to see everyone come together to make a difference for our local food bank and spread holiday joy.”
