The A66 between Cumbria and Scotch Corner has reopened to all traffic.
The road had been closed to vehicles due to strong winds.
The A66 westbound was closed between the A67 (Bowes) and the A685 (Brough) and he eastbound carriageway was closed between the A685 (Brough) and the A1M (Scotch Corner).
