Here at Cumbria Crack, we have a number of photographers who supply us with pictures from sports matches across the county.

Among the most prolific is Ben Challis, who is a regular sight at games across Cumbria and this year, has also worked with the England Community Lions.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Ben and everyone who submits photos for sports writer John Walsh’s match reports – we couldn’t do it without you!

We asked Ben to pick his favourite images of 2024 – and he selected 20 to give a snapshot of sport this year in Cumbria.
