A Carlisle man has admitted two drug supply crimes after illegal substances potentially worth around £14,000 were found by police in a raid of a number of addresses.
Ashley Matthew Raymond Hull, 21, was one of two men charged after an operation was conducted in the city late last year.
A Cumbria police spokesman confirmed that several premises had been searched across Carlisle.
“Officers from Carlisle’s serious and organised crime unit located 692 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin with an estimated value of £14,000,” the spokesman had said.
Hull, of Crummock Street, Carlisle, appeared in front of a judge at the city’s crown court earlier today, remotely over a video link from custody. He spoke to confirm his name and date of birth.
Hull pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply a quantity of the class A drug crack cocaine to another and conspiracy to supply class A substance heroin to another.
These crimes occurred between November 2 and November 27 2024, the court was told.
Hull’s case was adjourned by Judge Nicholas Barker and the defendant is due to be sentenced at the crown court on a future date. In the meantime he remains remanded in custody.
Appearing in front of Judge Barker alongside Hull, also remotely over a video link, was a 30-year-old man, and with an address in the south London area. He was not legally represented and entered no pleas to the charges he faces.
That man is due to appear at Carlisle Crown Court later this month, when his pleas to the allegations are due to be entered. He also remains remanded in custody in the meantime.
