Emergency services were called to a collision on the A6 yesterday.
Our colleagues at Cumbria Road Watch reported that the incident happened on the A6 heading towards Low Hesket from Carlisle at around 7.05pm yesterday, Wednesday January 15.
The road was closed in both directions from Low Hesket to the Wreay turn-off.
Police, the fire service and ambulance service were understood to be at the scene and drivers were urged to avoid the area.
The road has since reopened.
