A road in Whitehaven is likely to be closed until the end of the month due to a gas leak.
An emergency road closure was put in place due to the likelihood of danger as a result on North Row from its junction with Solway Road.
The road is closed in an easterly direction for around 90 metres.
The closure was put in place on January 8 and is likely to remain in force until January 29.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. A suitable alternative route for vehicles will be available via the unrestricted sections of North Row, High Road, South Row and Mid Street.
