Cumbria’s gritters are out again as road temperatures are forecast to fall below zero overnight.
The fleets run by both Cumberland and Westmorland & Furness councils have been out this afternoon to pre-treat roads.
Cumberland Council said: “Under clear periods this evening and tonight, road surface temperatures are likely to fall below zero with hoar frost and the odd icy patch.
“Into tomorrow morning, isolated light showers are likely to drift into south-western areas.”
