Police are investigating an online incident involving a West Cumbrian school pupil.
Cumbria police said it is aware of concerns following a case of malicious online communications involving a student at West Lakes Academy in Egremont.
It added that there is no information to suggest there is a real threat to anyone – but people may see a larger than normal police presence in the area as officers respond and investigate.
