A Cumbrian film-maker will have his music video for a Carlisle band shown at a prestigious Hollywood festival.
Clive Tonge’s video for NOVABLOOD’s single Biblical has been selected for play at the Hollywood Day Short Film Festival, an online festival featuring virtual screenings to promote the work of independent filmmakers and screenwriters worldwide.
The video was previously selected for screening at the 2024 Tees Valley International Film Festival and the 2025 Glowfare Short Film Festival.
Clive, a lecturer at the University of Cumbria, is no stranger to Hollywood having directed the $2.7m cult horror film Mara in 2018.

He got together with the Carlisle band soon after they signed their record deal with the London label Old World-New World last summer. Biblical, their first single for the label, was released last autumn.
The track has received radio support from the BBC and RTE in Ireland.
NOVABLOOD comprises of singer, songwriter and producer Mark Zowie, guitarist Paul Newton and Paolo di Liberto on keyboards and technology.
On its inclusion in the Hollywood festival, Clive said: “It’s really great to see local talent being selected to screen internationally.”
Mark said: “To see Clive gain more recognition in his field is unsurprising with his previous profile of movie making and his genuine love and detail to his work.
“Clive took his time to craft a video based wholly on our vision as a band and musical output. He deserves all the kudos.”
