Workington Town’s hopes for the 1895 Cup were dashed by Dewsbury Rams.

The Rams brought pressure to bear on Town throughout the game.

The Dewsbury Rams’ tries were from Louis Collinson (16′), Jamie Field (49′) and Sam Day (77′) and League Express gamestar Jacob Hookem kicked 3/3 goals.

Workington Town’s tries were from Jake Carter (42′) and Will Evans (68′) with an intercept  and 50-metre charge for 10-12, and Carter goaled 1/2 conversions, but Sam Day with the final converted try for the Rams with three minutes to go sealed the Rams’ win 10-18.

Photographer Ben Challis caught the action from the game.
