A couple who supplied cocaine and cannabis in West Cumbria have been sentenced for their crimes.
Shaun Rafferty, 44 and Chloe Rafferty, 32, of Kirkby Street, Maryport, were sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court for supplying drugs in the Workington area.
Shaun Rafferty was jailed for two years and eight months. Chloe Rafferty was sentenced to 24 months, suspended for two years.
On April 17 2023, officers raided the Rafferty home in Far Moss, Workington.
A search carried out by officers found 21.5g of cocaine in plastic bags, and eight street deals of cocaine and cannabis in a kitchen cupboard. Also found were a box of snap bags, scales and cash.
The pair were arrested and had their mobile phones seized.
The phones showed the couple were supplying cannabis and cocaine with the offer of drugs to contacts, agreeing prices and threats for unpaid debts.
Financial evidence also showed payments received in correlation with messages of deals and payment details sent.
Detective Constable Ben Wright, of Cumberland CID, said: “Drug supply is a blight on our community that must be addressed.
“This conviction is just one example to show that anyone who chooses to supply will be pursued and brought to justice.
