Aspatria Post Office is set to reopen in a new location.
The former branch on King Street closed in December 2024 due to the resignation of the postmaster.
Services are now being restored to the area and the new store is set to open on Queen Street on Tuesday June 3 at 1pm – after six months of being closed.
The opening hours run daily from Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm and on Saturday and Sunday the Post Office will open from 9am to 1pm, providing 53 hours of service a week.
This is an extra 30 hours of Post Office service per week than the previous part-time branch offered, including Sunday morning and later daily closing.
Similar products and services will still be available. There will be a Post Office counter alongside the retail counter.
In the interim the Mobile Post Office will visit various nearby locations at set times.
A public consultation on access into and within the premises will close on 9 April.
People can share their views during the consultation online at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 156410.
