Anti-social behaviour in a Carlisle park has prompted police to put a dispersal order in place.
The order allows police officers to direct people to leave a specific area and not return for up to 48 hours if their presence or behaviour contributes to or is likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress, or crime or disorder.
Carlisle police said: “Harraby has seen an increase in anti-social behaviour over the past couple of weeks and as a result, our community police officers have been conducting high visibility patrols in the area.
“Officers were called to a report of youths causing anti-social behaviour on Central Avenue and Keenan Park which has resulted in a dispersal order being put in place and a group of youths have been dispersed from the area.
“The dispersal order was put in place at 8.50pm yesterday, March 16, and will last for a period of 24 hours.
“Harraby is an area target for Carlisle Police and officers will continue to carry out high visibility patrols in the area.”
