Cumberland County League matches full of goals

It was another weekend of goals in the Cumberland County League even though there were only four matches.

In Division One, Windscale Reserves got themselves a 4-2 win against Unisun Athletic Youth Development with goals from Kieren Frazer (2), Bobby Fitzpatrick and Ben Mahaffy. Aron Willis and Mitchell Wood both scored for Unisun.

In the Ken Glover Memorial Cup group stage, goals from Caine Winter, Ben Rathbone and Louis Pickering helped Cockermouth to a 3-0 victory against Unisun Athletic.

The points were shared when Keswick host Whitehaven Miners Social which seen the game end 1-1. Richard Bannister netted for Keswick and Miners goal was scored by Nathan Walkingshaw.

There was also some League Cup 2 group stage action as a Troy Paterson goal gave Cockermouth Reserves a 1-0 victory against Whitehaven Miners Social Development.
