Deer Orchard have completed a double in the West Cumberland Sunday League without breaking sweat.
Already winners of the President’s Cup they were declared Premier Division champions without even having to turn up.
Scheduled opponents Bluebell could only muster five players so the points were conceded.
It is still to be confirmed but Orchard could be presented with the trophy at their home game on Thursday night with Dearham.
The Cockermouth side, founded 62 years ago, won the President’s Cup for the first time 10 days ago, and this is their first Premier League triumph.
Cumberland County League will take centre stage at Workingtons Borough Park on Friday (7pm) when Maryport Athletic meet Keswick in the Conway Cup final.
