Freemason bikers travelled across Cumbria at the weekend to deliver Easter eggs to youngsters.
On Sunday, the Freemasons visited hospitals in the county and delivered 200 Easter eggs, hundreds of teddy bears and donated £500 to the hospitals.
The Easter Egg Run, organised by Cumbria Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association, part of Cumbria Freemasons, visited the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle, Whitehaven’s West Cumberland Hospital and Furness General Hospital in Barrow.
The funds were raised and eggs donated by the Freemasons of Cumbria and their friends.
Neil Dixon, of Cumbria Freemasons, said: “It was a wonderful gesture, and we are very proud to be able to deliver these eggs, as well as donations to the children throughout Cumbria this week on motorbikes.

“We must thank all the members of Cumbria Freemasons and friends who donated both funds and eggs to help with this wonderful cause and most importantly to help the children less fortunate than ourselves.
“The Widow’s Sons, a motorcycling group open to all who enjoy the sport, helped raise awareness of the good work done by Freemasons in the community, as well as raising money for local charities. The convoy of motorbikes made its way to the Cumberland Infirmary first, where they met with all the patients in the children’s ward.”

On Friday April 25, Cumbria WSMBA will be delivering even more Easter joy, including eggs, teddy bears, and £500 to Mayfield School in Whitehaven and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice. .
