Windscale ended a series of poor results with a good 5-2 win at Seaton.
It gives them a chance of making a top six finish.
In the first half Windscale controlled the majority of possession on a really warm day on the coast.
The game was only four minutes in when Lewis Jolly put Windscale ahead from a free kick from 25 yards after the keeper let the low shot pass through his hands.
Pierce, who was instrumental in most of what Windscale did was winning everything in the air and strong in the tackle, supported by fellow midfielders Andrew Begbie and debutant Rob Davidson who were having a real impact on the game.
On 18 minutes Windscale doubled their lead as Stevie Walker scored with a great header at the back post off a Selkirk corner.
After a short water break Seaton were awarded a soft penalty from what looked like a coming together. Lithgoe for Seaton slotted it with confidence and this brought the hosts back into the game. Some great defending from Morgan and Walker meant the half ended 1-2.
Walker, who was playing his last Saturday fixture for the club after a long career at Windscale, made it 1-3 with a brilliant header again at the back post which arrowed in to the top corner across the keeper.
Seaton introduced substitute, Elliott Pledger and he changed the game for a short period.
Out wide on the right his pace and tormenting runs caused Windscale lots of problems and he created the Seaton 2nd goal as he crossed for a tap in to make it 3-2 with 63 minutes played.
Harry Hodgson who had been brought off the bench for Windscale would play a key role in the conclusion of the game.
With 65 minutes played he was put through out wide, beat his man for pace and hit a low shot across the keeper to make it 4-2. An excellent run and sublime finish.
Ten minutes later it was that man Hodgson again that was key again as he found himself central deep in the Seaton half, threaded a perfect ball through for Selkirk who drilled it low and hard past the Seaton keeper showing superb composure and sealing the win for the Atoms 2-5.
A pleasing afternoon for Windscale bouncing back from some poor results of late and keeps their hopes alive of a top 6 finish.
Next up is a trip to South Moor who are sitting right behind Windscale and will be eyeing a top six finish themselves.
