It was all about the divisional cups semi-finals on Wednesday evening as three teams reached their respective finals.

In the Ken Glover Memorial Cup, a Bradley O’Pray goal put Whitehaven Miners Social into the final with a 1-0 victory against Maryport Athletic.

Defeat for Maryport ends their hopes of picking up all the trophies available to them. Miners will play either Keswick, Unisun Athletic or Wigton Harriers in the final.

In the League Cup 1, Aspatria earned themselves a final spot after a 6-1 win against Dearham United with goals from Shaun Smith, Andrew Trestianu, Malcom Graham and Dan Pearson with a hat trick.

Thomas Farley grabbed Dearham’s goal on the night. Aspatria will play the winner of Workington Juniors v Mirehouse in the final.

Windscale Reserves will face Whitehaven AFC Reserves in the League Cup 2 final after they beat Cockermouth Reserves 1-0 thanks to a Jack Fitzpatrick goal.

Saturday will see Cockermouth host Maryport Athletic in the Premier Division title decider.

It’s a must-win match for Cockermouth if they want to be champions however a point would be enough to ensure them a second consecutive title, kick off is 2pm.

Elsewhere on Saturday and also 2pm kick-offs, Workington Juniors host Mirehouse in the second League Cup 1 semi final and in the Whitehaven Cup quarter final, Wigton Harriers take on Whitehaven AFC Reserves.
