The first of a new series of free walks for women has been hailed a success by its organiser.
Hot Girl Hikes saw over 20 women climb Catbells.
Organised by Meg Fynn, founder of VOLT Studio Fitness in Penrith, the free community hike was created to encourage local women to move more, meet new people, and enjoy what is on our doorstep together in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Participants ranged from 18 to 50-plus years old, with several bringing along friends, family members, and even their dogs.
The group met at VOLT Studio before car-sharing to the start point, then took a steady climb up Catbells.
The walk ended with a coffee and scone at The Lingholm Kitchen/
Meg said: “We’re thrilled with how many people came along for the first hike. It captured everything we hoped for – movement, connection, and a lot of good vibes. It’s amazing to see women who’ve never met before come together so naturally.”
The Hot Girl Hikes series continues on Sunday June 1with a scenic walk around Aira Force and Gowbarrow, finishing with a coffee and snack at the Neaum Pop-Up Café.
The event is free to attend and open to all women, with friends, family, and dogs welcome.
