A man has been arrested after an assault at Carlisle United’s Brunton Park while a junior football competition last weekend.
An incident happened at 1.30pm in which a man, sat in the west stand watching the football, was assaulted by another man.
This was witnessed by children and parents in the stand.
Officers are appealing for witnesses.
The man reported to have carried out the assault was described as white, in his early 30s, of stocky build, 6ft, with thick brown messy hair, wearing a blue polo shirt and shorts.
The arrested man was bailed pending further enquiries.
