After a two-year break, Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice are thrilled to announce the return of the iconic Morecambe Bay Walk.

The unique fundraising event on Sunday July 6 offers participants the rare opportunity to traverse the UK’s largest expanse of tidal mudflats and sands, guided safely by the experienced team from the Guide Over Sands Trust.

The around eight -mile journey begins at 2.30pm on the Arnside promenade and concludes near the Grange-over-Sands promenade.

Walkers should anticipate a three to four-hour trek across sandy terrains and water channels that may reach knee or thigh height, depending on recent rainfall.

Each walker will be raising funds to support compassionate care, ensuring that individuals and families facing life-limiting illnesses receive the support they need during the toughest of times.

Megan Dart, events fundraiser, said: “We are very excited to be bringing back this amazing opportunity to walk across Morecambe Bay as it’s one of only a few opportunities to take part safely this year!
