
A man has been arrested after police stopped a car and searched it and its driver.
Eden Police said that officers stopped the vehicle and during searches, two lock knives were found,
The man has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed article in a public place.
Cumbria police is currently carrying out Operation Sceptre, a week-long campaign where officers will tackle knife crime.
Eden Police said: “Someone in possession of a knife is not only increasing the risk of harm to themselves, but could also face a fine of £5,000 and a four-year prison sentence.”
