Plans for information boards at five different sites to explain the Silloth Military Trail have been approved by Cumberland Council.
They will be placed at the town’s Criffel Street, next to the model aircraft on The Green, north of Mawbray car park, Grune Point, Silloth Golf Club West Beach and Causewayhead Cemetery.
Silloth Town Council backed the plans and there was one letter of support received from a member of the public.
The trail explores the Solway Coast’s military heritage and was put together by the Silloth Airfield Project with Silloth Tourism Action Group.
