A superhero, ninja, talking donkey and a guy who can summon bears are all part of the story behind a fun-filled family theatre show coming to Workington next week.
A team from 4Front Theatre will bring their new production, Bizarre Bible, to St Mary’s Westfield Parish Centre on Sunday, June 15.
4Front Theatre describes the production as “a high-energy theatre show for kids and families, jam-packed with plenty of laughs, catchy songs and some of the weirdest and wackiest stories the Bible has to offer”.
It adds: “Get ready for a show that proves the Bible is anything but boring!”
The event has been organised by Churches Together in Workington and District for families from across the area.
Organiser Charlotte Bampton said: “We’re really excited to welcome 4Front Theatre. I’ve seen them in Keswick with my family and they’re brilliant but they’ve never been to Workington – until now.
“We hope lots of families will be able to join us to see this energetic and exciting show for themselves.”
The Rev Sharon Murphy, of St Mary’s Westfield, added: “It’ll be an exciting afternoon and a great way to explain stories of the Bible in an interactive way.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming lots of people from the local community to share the afternoon with us.”
The hour-long show will start at 3.30pm and be followed by refreshments.
Entry is free of charge with donations welcome. Tickets are available at bit.ly/4FrontTheatreinWorkington or on the door, subject to availability.
