A festival dedicated to the best of fibre and yarn will be held in Cumbria later this month.

Cumbrian Wool Gathering, now in its third year, will be held at J36 Rural Auction Centre on Saturday June 21 and Sunday June 22.

Featuring over 80 exhibitors,  whether you’re into spinning, felting, weaving, knitting, or crochet, there’s something for everyone.

From the National Angora Club to Wools of Cumbria Carpets and the Angela Gardner Studio, exhibitors are ready to show off their wares.

You can check out the full list of exhibitors here.

The exhibition will run on Saturday from 10am to 4.30pm and Sunday 11am to 4pm.

For people who struggle in a crowd, there is a quiet hour from 10am on Sunday.

Tickets

You can pay on the door but priority entry is given to people who book online. Tickets are available here.

Free admission for children under 16, accompanied by an adult.

Free admission for carers if they are accompanying a ticket holder.

For prepaid tickets, the doors open at 10am on Saturday and 11am on Sunday.

Last entry for new visitors is half an hour before closing.
