Performers of all ages are invited to help bring 10 new Barrow stories to life.
Theatre Factory’s IF! Inclusion Festival gets underway in November and runs until late 2026.
IF! is a festival of 10 drama productions which will be staged at locations across the town.
Performers of all abilities are invited to become part of each cast – with differing levels of involvement that suits the individual.
Each work is made by, for and with Barrow people of all ages, genders and race.
Themes include, money, poverty, survival, war, community, inclusion, racial tension, migration, life hacks, female body image and what life is like for Barrovian young people in 2025.
All the stories come from real-life experiences and award-winning writers have sculpted the storylines to create stunning work that packs a punch.
Phill Gregg, of the Theatre Factory, said: “We are very excited about this year-long festival of productions about the wonderful town that is Barrow.
“Together the stories will give a sense of the town as it currently is, warts and all. It will be a love song to Barrow and who we are in all our glory.
“We have actors for the main roles in each production but are looking for local people who want to be involved on stage in whatever capacity they feel comfortable with. It may be a few speaking parts or as an extra in the background.
“Each will be given full support and training that suits them and the time they have available.”
