A section of the A590 in South Cumbria has reopened after emergency work was carried out.
The A590 near Levens was closed temporarily both ways today, Thursday June 26, for the essential work to be carried out on overhead wires.
Police said they were assisting with the road closure to ensure the safety of drivers and those carrying out the work.
Drivers were asked to take alternative routes or avoid the area if possible.
