A man has been arrested after shops in Kendal reported thefts of over £1,000-worths of goods.
South Lakes Police said David Maxwell, 41, of the Barrow area, has been charged with multiple counts of shoplifting after an officer reviewed CCTV footage in the town.
Maxwell is due to appear at court.
