Sedbergh’s Black Bull Inn has been named Cumbria’s best pub in the National Pub and Bar Awards.
Over 500 industry guests celebrated the sector in London at the ceremony earlier this week.
256 businesses were shortlisted across the 94 counties in this year’s awards and the Black Bull represented Cumbria.
Organised in with Pub & Bar magazine and now in its ninth year, the National Pub & Bar Awards showcase the UK’s finest pubs and bars on a national scale, each year crowning the best venues from 94 counties across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.
Each year, the awards examine several important elements that affect the customer journey, including marketing, digital presence, design, service, style of offer and investment.
James Ratcliffe, co-owner of Sedbergh’s Black Bull, said: ‘’It’s great news that we’ve won the title of Best Pub in Cumbria.
“The Black Bull is all about making sure every one of our guests can enjoy delicious food, well-kept beer, and quality wines in a building that’s full of character, whilst being looked after by a dedicated team of people who care about what they do.
“And this award recognises everyone’s hard work in striving to achieve that.’’
