Plans have been revealed for six holiday lodges at a north Cumbrian beauty spot.
Geltsdale Properties wants to build the six lodges at Talkin Tarn, near Brampton.
The land, north west of the tarn’s car park, is a field currently used for grazing, near Tarn End Cottages.
The company has applied to Cumberland Council for permission for the single-storey lodges.
Its application said: “The aim of the proposal is to provide modern, comfortable holiday homes/lets that will be attractive to the sales and potentially to the letting market, while not adversely affect the surrounding area by retaining the existing ‘countryside’ feel of the site, and benefiting from the picturesque surroundings.”
The firm would also create a new access road for guests to be dropped off at the rear of the site.

The application said the site has a minor road to its front, which was used sparsely throughout the day.
It added: “The proposal will not increase the flow of vehicular traffic significantly to the road, and a large number of vehicles would not be expected to arrive at a certain time or particular day, arriving sporadically.”
