A boutique Lake District guest house is up for sale for £995,000.
Dene House in Bowness-on-Windermere is being marketed by specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co.
It has been owned and operated by Mr Hai and Mrs Huong since 2018, who now wish to sell the business to retire.
They said: “We have thoroughly enjoyed our time at Dene House and it has been our pleasure to welcome so many guests over the years.
“We have operated the business both as a guest house and also, for 12 months, as a self-contained holiday let business, and both options have worked very successfully. This flexibility offers a potential purchaser lots of options to operate the business in a way that suits them best.”
Just a short stroll from the shores of Windermere, the Victorian property has seven en suite bedrooms and a breakfast.
The property has planning permission to operate either as a guest house or a self-contained holiday let and a two-bedroom owners’ accommodation with a private entrance is also included in the sale.
Graham Wilkinson, hotel agent at Christie & Co, who is managing the sale, added: “Dene House is a very attractive proposition for any potential purchaser.
“With a successful track record as both a guest house and a holiday let, this is a great opportunity for a purchaser to acquire a well-established hospitality business that can operate in either the serviced or self-catering accommodation sectors, located in one of the most commercial locations in the Lake District National Park.”
