The youngsters from Carlisle Dance Academy represented England at the competition in Spain, and came home with two silver medals and an outstanding four fourth-place finishes.

Principal Laura Irwin said: “Words can’t express how proud I am of every single dancer who gave their all and represented not only Team England, but Carlisle, with such grace, strength and professionalism.

“Performing on a world stage is a memory they will carry with them forever. To our sponsors, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support made this dream possible.”

The academy was sponsored by several local businesses, including David Allen, Kingmoor Park, Inside Contracts, M&M Scaffolding, Harper Cars, NXT Recruitment, Premier Electrical Ltd, Premier traffic, System Hydraulics Ltd, Heidelberg Materials and Social Ant Ltd.
