Barrow Music Weekender is set to return for its fifth year in October.
The event will see four days of live music across the town, from local bands to musicians from Sweden.
It will take place from October 9 to October 12.
Lesley Harris, of Barrow Music Weekender, said: “We are delighted to bring Barrow Music Weekender back for another year.
“The event has grown over the last five years and we’d like as many people as possible to save the date and get involved. We’ll have the very best local young talent on stages as well as established artists.
“A new Barrow Music Commission has been set up to drive music and creative opportunities in the town and we are looking forward to seeing how that develops over the next few years. Any companies or people who want to partner with us to support music opportunities should get in touch.”
Barrow Music Weekender events are free or charge a very small admission fee.
Events include a primary schools singing festival, award-winning author Kirk Field’s Rave New World Acid House cabaret, country music night, street music and pop-up events, an under-21s piano recital, Kerry Ellis, Swedish experimentalists Death and Vanilla playing a live score to a 60s movie, while late-night sounds continue at Barrow Underground Music Society with Mick Artistic, EO Trip and others.
And Big Country founding member Mark Brzezick will reunite with vocalist Simon Hough, Chris Layhe (Icicle Works) and Ken Nicols (Steeleye Span) to perform hits under the name From Big Country.
