Lorton Hound Show attracted 56 runners for a four-race card.
Twelve of them contested the opening senior trail in which Huntsman’s Rebel and Huntsman’s Time for Denise and Jenny Bland, and Graham Little were sent off as joint favourites.
When reports came in from the second road crossing it was Foxparke Honk Honk and Foxparke Sidekick for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier and Brooke Butler who were leading the race from Huntsman’s Time, Baroness Ava for James and Ava McClellan and Miterdale Green Queen for Sophie Steele, and Zach and Jake Green.
The hounds can then be seen going through the fell from the trail field after roughly 10 minutes running and leading the way by then was Huntsman’s Rebel followed by Foxparke Honk Honk, Foxparke Sidekick, Foxparke Fairlady and Miterdale Green Queen with James and Ava McClellan’s pair of Baroness Ava and Countess Ava in the bunch along with Minnie Million for Joy, Cathy and Brian Lister.
When the next report came in Foxparke Sidekick had taken the lead from kennel mate Foxparke Honk Honk with a small gap to the chasing pack which was being led by Baroness Ava from Miterdale Green Queen, Foxparke Fairlady and Huntsman’s Rebel.
The hounds can then be seen climbing out on the back fell and it was three kennel mates Foxparke Sidekick, Foxparke Honk Honk and Foxparke Fairlady who had developed an advantage over the chasing pack which was being led by Baroness Ava, Minnie Million and Miterdale Green Queen.
The hounds are then seen dropping down off the fell into the bottoms and it was Foxparke Sidekick who was still leading the way from Foxparke Honk Honk and Foxparke Fairlady with Miterdale Green Queen in fourth, but who seemed to be dropping down well.

Once onto the finish the three kennel mates were still leading but some hounds have the tendency to stop in the river for a drink before coming into the final field.
However Foxparke Sidekick finished well to claim her second senior win in two runs.
She’s a little hound who lacked confidence as a pup but has excelled these last two years.
Her kennel mate and litter mate Foxparke Fairlady finished second with Baroness Ava in third to prevent a Foxparke 1, 2, 3, as Foxparke Honk Honk was fourth.
Miterdale Green Queen took fifth and the final ticket went to Minnie Million.
The puppy trail saw 18 lining up at the slip and second in the table Huntsman’s Unite for Denise and Jenny Bland and Graham Little was sent off favourite.
Once slipped they had a little bit of a scale and it was Nellie’s Pride for Jonty and Evie Moore and Jack Thompson who was off to a good start along with Jenny’s Chance for Denise and Jenny Bland, Graham Little, and Ella and Kyle Gallacher.
The hounds were then seen climbing out on the back fell and all were having a good race but were hard to make out due to the sun shining right on them.
As they dropped down the fell and into the bottoms it was a little red hound leading them, everyone was unsure if it was Huntsman’s Unite or Foxparke Cheese and Beans for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier, Brooke Butler and Glenis Farren.

Foxparke Rita’s Rose was in second for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier, Brooke Butler and Darren Clark and Jenny’s Chance was third.
As they showed on the finish a couple ran off and put themselves back a couple of places but Prospect Jan for Stuart Smith finished well to claim the win from Jenny’s Chance with Stuart’s other hound Prospect Jill in third.
Foxparke Rita’s Rose finished in fourth and Foxparke Cheese and Beans was fifth.
The final ticket went to Pied Piper for Tanya Satterthwaite.
The Open Maidens had a field of 16 and Ruby for Stephen Riley and Isla Hetherington was sent off favourite.
As they were slipped Offspring, for Stuart, James and Jacob Jeynes was the early leader from kennel mates Foxparke Elliot’s Lad and Foxparke Dealer for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier, Brooke Butler.
Ruby was fourth and Persian Gold for Michael Watson was in fifth.

The hounds were then seen climbing out onto the back fell and Foxparke Dealer was leading the way from Ruby and Foxparke Elliot’s Lad.
As they dropped down the fell and into the bottoms Ruby had taken over in front from Foxparke Elliot’s Lad who dropped very well with Persian Gold in third and Foxparke Dealer in fourth.
When they showed on the finish Ruby had established a comfortable lead and finished well to win from Foxparke Elliot’s Lad who finished very well in second from Persian Gold.
Thorn Thunder fourth; Samcro for Tanya Satterthwaite finished in fifth and the final ticket went to Offspring.
The Open Restricted trail had 10 lining up at the slip.
Huntsman’s Sparkle for Tracey, Carolyn, and Derrick Hill was sent off favourite and when they slipped she went out well ahead of Eagle Girl for Linda Neale, Mark, Josh and Georgia Bryden with Swamp Fox for Tanya Satterthwaite in third ahead of Foxparke Sassy Girl for Robyn, Ellie, Grace and Nicola Napier, and Brooke Butler.
As they climbed out on the back fell Huntsman’s Sparkle was still leading the way from Eagle Girl with Foxparke Oink Oink in third for Robyn, Ellie, Grace, and Nicola Napier, Brooke Butler and Donald Hodgson with Foxparke Sassy Girl in fourth.
As they dropped down the fell into the bottoms Huntsman’s Sparkle was still leading the way from Eagle Girl with Foxparke Oink Oink close in third and Foxparke Sassy Girl in fourth.
When they showed on the finish Foxparke Sassy Girl was leading the way from Eagle Girl and Foxparke Oink Oink.
The first two had a fantastic race to the line with both hounds all out but Foxparke Sassy Girl, as she always seems to do, put in a great last minute push to claim the win and give Team Foxparke a double on the day with a length to spare from Eagle Girl who ran a great race for her first time around the course.
Kennel mates Miterdale Rambler, Miterdale Honesty and Kinniside Bobby for Anthony, Steph, Sophie, Katie and Alfie Steele finished in third, fourth and fifth and the final ticket went to Foxparke Oink Oink who stopped in the river after originally showing third.
