
Cumbria have announced their Development team line-up for tomorrow’s game at Keswick.
They are hosting Dilip Vengsarkar’s Academy team, with potential Indian internationals of the future in the line-up.
Vengsarker played in 116 Tests for India, scoring 6,868 runs and captained the side for two years.
He runs three cricket academies, two in Mumbai and one in Pune. These academies give training free of charge to players selected on their skill level.
They make regular tours to the UK and last year Cumbria beat them in a game at Westhoughton where they base themselves.
The 12 players selected for Cumbria are a mix of Northern League and Cumbria League players who will be captained by Ali Craig, of Penrith.
The others are Gabriel Drimmie (Cockermouth), Freddie Fallows (Kendal), Josh Foster (Whitehaven), Ethan Hardie-Knight (Cockermouth), Kian Larmour (Whitehaven), Jack Lord (Lancaster), Lucas Murphy (Clitheroe), Samson Storey (Furness), Billy Thompson (Whitehaven), Max Winskill (Kendal), Donovan Zealand (Penrith).
Planned as a 50-overs a side game it is due to start at 11am.
