Firefighters called to tackle Whitehaven blaze

Firefighters were called to a Whitehaven street to tackle a blaze.

Cumbria police said their officers and fire crews were called to Esk Avenue today, at around 2pm.

Around three engines were in attendance.

Esk Avenue and Calder Avenue were blocked and people were asked to stay away from the scene.
