The University of Cumbria has been ranked top in the North West for graduate outcomes.
The Graduate Outcomes Survey 2025 was published this week.
It operates nationally and explores the destinations of graduates 15 months after graduation.
The Higher Education Statistics Agency official statistics show that over 97 per cent of University of Cumbria graduates are employed or studying 15 months after graduating, and over 88 per cent of these are in professional employment.
It places the university within the top 10 nationally for students in employment and/or further study.
97.2 per cent of University of Cumbria graduates from the 2022/23 cohort are now in employment or further study, which is 3.2 per cent above the national sector average.
Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University of Cumbria, Professor Brian Webster-Henderson OBE said: “We are incredibly proud of these results, which reaffirm the University of Cumbria’s growing reputation for excellence and impact.
“They reflect not only our sustained success in the annual Graduate Outcomes survey, but also the tangible progress we’re making in fulfilling our strategic mission and purpose of being a university of, for and beyond Cumbria.
“Our unwavering priority is to ensure that every student who studies with us is empowered with the skills, knowledge, and real-world experience needed to thrive in professional roles – locally, nationally, and globally.
“We continue to collaborate closely with employers, industry partners, and communities to produce graduates who are ready to lead, innovate, and contribute meaningfully to a thriving society, economy, and environment – today and for generations to come.”
