A Workington road has been closed after a sinkhole appeared.
Elizabeth Street is now subject to an emergency road closure due to the likelihood of danger as a result of the sinkhole.
The road is closed from the Carlton Road junction to the Cavendish Street junction, in a north west direction for around 70 metres.
An alternative route for vehicles will be available via Carlton Street, Ramsay Brow and Cavendish Street and a way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
