Ongoing resurfacing of the A590 between Backbarrow Bridge and Rusland Pool will pause for Dave Day in Barrow.
National Highways started work on the resurfacing on June 1 and completion is scheduled for July 17.
The work is being carried out from 8pm to 6am Mondays to Fridays.
However, it said it would pause work from the morning of July 19 to allow uninterrupted passage for Dave Day, the Barrow event in memory of Hairy Biker Dave Myers, on Saturday June 20.
Work will resume in the evening of Monday June 22.
