[V]ulcan Park in Workington will host a free family fun day on Saturday 26 August, 1 – 4pm.
The Family Fun Day has previously popped up at Harrington and Mossbay and will now finish its tour in the town centre park.
The event will include craft activities, a climbing wall, a bird of prey display, face painting, and a stall from Workington based dance company, Cheer Fitness and Fun. In addition to the free activities, the first 100 children will receive a free hot dog, chips, drink, ice cream, and a balloon.
All activities are free of charge and no booking is required. Admission is on a first come, first served basis.
The event has been organised by Workington Town Council in partnership with local charity, South Workington Youth Partnership (SWYP). The Town Council works with SWYP throughout the year to provide free activities to families in Workington.
