Carus Green Golf Club prepare for their 2017 wedding fair

[C]arus Green golf club took advantage of the opportunity to show off their modern new extension as hosts of one of the area’s most popular wedding fairs. More than 130 blushing brides and guests visited the Burneside-based facilities to view the club’s new function room. The region’s top exhibitors were in attendance, each with an exhibition space, with singer, Krystal Clark, providing entertainment throughout the day.

Elegant displays were provided by ‘Heaps of Fun’, ‘Made in Flowers’ and ‘Frothimoon’, with Gordon Hall Wedding Services ensuring that arriving guests were treated to a stylish selection of wedding cars.

Additional exhibitors comprised wedding photographer, Rachel Winter; Kendal-based jewellers, Hogarth; wedding & honeymoon specialists, Small Planet Travel, and Grasmere Gingerbread, famous for their delicious wedding favours. With beautiful weather ensuring a good turn-out and the golf course in great condition, the day was a tremendous success.

“We were delighted to host our 2017 wedding fair in the new function room – the third we have hosted at Carus Green,” explained Function Manager, Nicola Thompson. “The turnout was far beyond expectation but our fantastic new facilities, stunning views and as one of the only golf clubs in the county to host civil ceremonies, we’re anticipating this area of the business increasing as time goes on. We have already hosted 30 weddings this year and next year is set to be even busier.”
