[E]mergency services are dealing with a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A590, near Greenodd roundabout.
Police were called today (13th November), at 4:06pm.
The road is currently blocked between Rusland and Greenodd whilst emergency services attend the scene.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “At 3.56pm firefighters were called to a two vehicle collision in Newby Bridge, Ulverston. Crews used cutting equipment to free a female casualty from one of the cars.
“Both casualties were taken to hospital by air ambulance.”
Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible, and use alternative routes.
