[I]ce is expected to form on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths Wednesday night and through Thursday morning. Some injuries are possible from slips and falls on icy surfaces.
A Met office spokesman said: “Surface temperatures are expected to fall overnight into Thursday.
“Showers are expected, falling as a mixture of rain and hail with some sleet or wet snow on the higher routes.
“Showers may be heavy enough to dilute overnight treatments.”
